Spitting Image - Every Bomb You Drop

Isn't it interesting how some issues appear timeless? A similar song could have been sung in any epoch in history. Fascinating.

Spitting Image - Madness sing Our House spoof

Thank God those days are over eh? Can't see a song like tha happening again, can you?

Spitting Image Never Met a Nice South African

I enjoyed Spitting Image. It's a shame there's no equivalent today. I don't buy the argument that modern politics cannot be satirised.

Anyway, bear the fact that it's satire in mind before critiquing the piece.

September by. Earth, Wind and Fire

Well it rhymes with December and it's an awesome funk tune. Plus it reminds me of my sister and father who were both born in September.

Sting - Ain't No Sunshine

Following the Bill Withers trail again, and I'm a Sting fan. Love what he can do musically, not everything he does turns to gold, but he's a creative soul and enough of his songs have left a positive imprint.

This is a mistake though. Not the version, really cool chilled back version. But the 'tache - it's just horrendously wrong. Reminds me of a 70's star in the making in the wrong kinda movies. (Don't ask how I know, it's not something we're proud of ... like Sting's effort at facial hair here)

Bill Withers - Use Me

While on the whole Bill Withers jazz I thought I'd slip this song into the mix. Not necessarily the first one people think of when they think of Bill Withers, but cool all the same. He really likes taking his time with these, which is cool for school as far as I'm concerned.

Just the Two of Us - Bill Withers/Grover Washington Jr.

Some extended mixes of songs don't always work, some work a treat. I think this partnership and extension works a treat and so I'm happy to share this track with you.

Intro Rodney Dangerfield

You know this guy could keep on going on with the same material and still be funny - it is all in the delivery.

Rodney Dangerfield Stand-Up 5

Rodney Dangerfield Stand-Up 3

I will stick all of these up in here - this guy is just funny!

Rodney Dangerfield Stand-Up 1

Seriously, this guy is funny. I'm talking laugh out loud and that's clever funny. I love his style quite a lot and just count the gags he packs into a three minute set.

Best Goal Celebrations

Forget scoring it's all about the celebrations and this one highlights just what skill and effort is required to celebrate a goal properly.

Marseille 0-4 Liverpool

For what it's worth I don't think this is an awesome result, but here's hoping we can beat Manchester United on Sunday to set up a cracking start to the real busy part of the season.
